Your salary should reflect your education, expertise, responsibility and effort, and be negotiated in an organised working life through collective bargaining and strong collective agreements.

A high degree of unionisation provides greater influence, better agreements and stronger wage growth.

State employee?

If you want Forskerforbundet and Unio to represent you in wage negotiations, you must join before 1 May 2026.

Together, we fight to ensure that the efforts of knowledge workers are valued – and that higher education pays off, also in the state.

If you have a period of notice in another trade union, you can be exempt from paying membership fees to Forskerforbundet for up to three months. Read more about this here.
