Amnesty International

Amnesty is based on the idea that you - no matter who you are - can make a difference. Because when there are many of us who stand together, we can change the world.

Forskerforbundet and Amnesty International Norway has implemented a cooperation agreement. This agreement gives Forskerforbundet’s members an opportunity to work for human rights thru Amnesty International.

The background for this agreement is for Amnesty International’s interest of continuing its  promotion of human rights work and Forskerforbundet interests of formalizing its engagement for human rights and solidarity work.

This joint effort will work in several ways. Forskerforbundet organizes scientist and researchers with the competence that Amnesty International needs to promote their larger campaigns. The advantage for Forskerforbundet is to have access to Amnesty International large contact base of researchers, communicators, Human Rights advocates and experts that our members can have a closer contact with for mutual efforts.

This agreements does not dictate activities for members of either Amnesty International or Forskerforbundet’s members or local leaders. Members of both organizations have the freedom to choose which activities or campaigns that would like to participate in and promote.
