The salary statistics help members assess their own salary against industry standards, which strengthens their negotiating position. It provides insight into salaries by education, position and sector, and is an important tool in local salary negotiations.

Salary statistics for members in the state sector

Our salary statistics for the state sector are based on salary overviews submitted by local union representatives for Forskerforbundet members. The statistics cover 14,956 employees and provide an updated overview of the salary level for government-employed researchers and knowledge workers.

As a result of the strike in the state in 2024, local salary negotiations for 2024 were delayed until February 15, 2025. Salary statistics have therefore been collected for salaries as of March 31, 2025.

Salary statistics for members in bargaining areas NHO/Abelia, Spekter, Virke, KS, Oslo, KA. Figures as of 31.12.2024 / 31.03.2025.

Our salary statistics for the non-state sector are based on 2,777 respondents and provide an updated overview of the salary level for researchers and knowledge workers outside the state.

As a result of the strike in the state sector in 2024, local negotiations for the Virke areas were delayed until March 15, 2025. Statistics for the Virke areas have been collected for salaries as of March 31, 2025.
