The Norwegian Association of Researchers (Forskerforbundet) invites PhD candidates (members as well as non-members) to join us for an exciting lecture with Jo Røislien at Kulturhuset (Laboratoriet) in Oslo Thursdag 10th of October at 19.00. Doors open at 18.30.

We are drowning in information. So how do you get people to listen to what you have to say? And remember what you said? What is the difference between 'scientific fact' on the one hand and 'science communication' on the other? No science communication happens in a vacuum, but takes place within a specific society and a contemporary culture -- a culture that is constantly changing. How does this impact the communication of knowledge? Through anecdotes, video clips and demonstrations Jo will talk about his work on disseminating complex information on a large scale to people with little or no preliminary knowledge of the topic.

The event is free of charge, no registration necessary. But please RSVP on the Facebook event page if you are attending!
